“There's a war goin' on outside, that no man is safe from”… An ode to legend Prodigy of Mobb Deep, Timeflex interpolates lyrics from their famous song “Survival of the Fittest” to create this conscious 90's-era style track.

Bringing it back to the golden era of Hip-Hop w/ sampled sounds, a conscious message & a vibe that can only be recreated by having your ear to the streets. Using Hip-Hop as a way to bring the news of the world to the fans is what once made Rap stand out from other genres. Flex is back, to prove that we never lose that spark to create in a certain space… if we so choose.

Sounding like something straight out of the golden era of Hip-hop, “Realest Shit I Ever Wrote” sounds like Dr. Dre was in the studio while Timeflex was recording.

Mixed with that original-sound in mind, Flex kept the vibe as close to that 90's style as possible for this track.

Get ready for smooth rhyme schemes, punchlines & a memorable sound that transports you back to that golden time when Hip-hop was being established as the most dominant genre on the planet.
